The Reds today found out who their opponents are in the opening rounds of this season’s FA Cup and FA Vase.

AFC Liverpool’s first foray on the FA Cup trail will see them take a trip to West Yorkshire as they face Hemsworth MW in the Extra Preliminary Round on Saturday 14th August. Should the Reds be successful in that match, they would then have a home tie against Bamber Bridge in the Preliminary Round two weeks later. Another positive result would then set up another home tie against one from Flixton, Bacup Borough or Clitheroe.

In the FA Vase, the Reds don’t join the competition until the second qualifying round where they will have a home fixture against either Wigan Robin Park or Dinnington Town. A first home victory over Wigan Robin Park or revenge for last season’s FA Vase exit to Dinnington Town would see the Reds with another home fixture against one from Hallam, Penrith or FC Brimington.

In the FA Youth Cup, AFC Liverpool are at home to Wrexham in the Preliminary Round and continued success would see two further home ties. The first would be against Ashton Town followed by either a visit from Warrington Town or Salford City.
