We already knew that Liverpool Football Club was the best in the world – but this has confirmed it.

Rick Parry, Chief Executive of LFC, has wrote to AFC Liverpool with an outstanding letter.

We contacted the club a few weeks ago to formally explain what we are about, that we are a project completely friendly to LFC, to explain about the level of community work we plan to engage in, and to seek the club’s blessing.

Rick Parry has replied by wishing us the best of luck!

This is both historic and farsighted for the club to openly welcome a new member of the LFC family, and shows Liverpool Football Club’s commitment to its community and supporters. It is also indicative of LFC’s willingness to acknowledge the values and benefits of grassroots football.

To say we are thrilled that the club recognise that AFC Liverpool are a friendly venture is an understatement.

Rick wrote: “On the basis of your letter there is every reason to believe that we can co-exist and co-operate and that will certainly be my aim. Doubtless there will be issues that arise and need to be solved, but I am approaching this with a positive frame of mind.”

He continued: “I’d like to wish you the best of luck with your endeavours and I know how much hard work will be required.”
