This coming Saturday, AFC Liverpool, one of the newest clubs in the UK, take on Hallam FC, the second oldest club in the world.

After AFC Liverpool dumped Dinnington Town out of the FA Vase with a 1-0 win last weekend, next up is Hallam FC from Sheffield, who boast being the second oldest club in the world and are celebrating their 150 years this year.

Hallam ply their trade in the North Counties East League, the same league as Dinnington Town, and are currently one place above our previous opponents.

They also boast a famous ex-player in Howard Wilkinson.

AFC Liverpool will be looking to go into this game with a renewed determination, after being beaten in the Liverpool Senior Cup by Cammell Laird on Tuesday night. Although the 4-1 scoreline flattered The Shipyarders, AFC Liverpool will take heart from our previous 2 league games in which we won 5-0 and 7-0 respectively.

The game is to be played at home this coming Saturday 2nd October at 3.00pm.
