“Philharmonic Three” Man Is New Chair

Mark Woods is the new chair of AFC Liverpool. Mark has been a key figure in the development of AFC Liverpool since its inception.

Indeed, Mark is one of the original Philharmonic Three who met in Liverpool’s Philharmonic Pub to start AFC Liverpool.

Mark said: “It is a great honour to be asked to be the Chair of AFC Liverpool. I am delighted to accept and look forward to representing the club in this role.”

He has replaced Gary Langley who has decided after much thought to accept an invitation to work on a working committee at a prominent SFL club to develop business and commercial opportuties, and has stepped down from the board of AFC Liverpool entirely.

Club founder Alun Parry said: “Mark Woods is one of the key reasons why AFC Liverpool exists. As well as his activism and hard work and energy, he has provided wise counsel at many of the more difficult moments the club has faced. We are all very pleased that Mark has accepted the role.”
