Striker Steve Jones has left the club to sign for Newtown AFC of the Welsh Premier League.

The twenty three year old, who signed from Newton of the West Cheshire League last summer, had a prolific strike rate in his short spell with the Reds. In sixteen appearances he scored fifteen goals, including a hat-trick against Irlam, four goals against Cheadle Town and most memorably a long range strike against AFC Blackpool.
With swift international clearance, Steve could make his debut for his new club against Airbus tomorrow.
He leaves with the best wishes of the club.

Meanwhile, incoming to AFC Liverpool is James Thomas who signs from Vodkat Premier League club Ashton Athletic.
