Saturday 2nd August represents AFC Liverpool’s final warm up match before the start of the season.

To make it even spicier, there is a trophy at stake.

Runcorn Linnets, like AFC Liverpool a fan-owned, fan-run club, will host the reds to compete for the Fans Club Trophy.

Runcorn are great friends of AFC Liverpool, giving extensive help to our steering group during the set up of the club.

Kick off is at 3pm. The match may well provide a fascinating glimpse into the mind of manager Derek Goulding as fans try to guess who his first eleven will be for the first day of the season.

A victory would see AFC Liverpool collect our second trophy during our pre season campaign following the penalty shootout victory against Nelson FC.

Like Nelson, Runcorn Linnets play in the Vodkat Premier League, one division above the reds.
