Vegard Heggem Joins AFC Liverpool

Former Liverpool star Vegard Heggem has signed up as an AFC Liverpool patron and official supporter of the club.

Veggy was an exciting attacking full back for Liverpool Football Club, signing in at Anfield for a fee of £3.5 million in 1998. He made 65 appearances for Liverpool, playing either as an attacking full back or in right midfield, where his ability to beat a man won the appreciation of the Anfield crowd.

He was also a Norwegian international, winning 20 caps for his national team.

Still a firm favourite with Liverpool supporters, we are delighted to welcome Vegard as a patron of AFC Liverpool.

Vegard said: “I would like to wish you the best of luck and will be happy to be named as an official supporter of AFC Liverpool.”
