Following their midweek Vodkat First Division Trophy success, AFC Liverpool continued their recent good form as their ran out 4-0 winners against Norton United in the league. Two goals from Karl Gornell and one each from Andy McCoy and Liam Coyne ensured that the Reds came away from Staffordshire with all three points.

AFC Liverpool created history after they came from behind to beat Cheadle Town 2-1 to win the Vodkat First Division Trophy. Two second half headers from Andy Olsen cancelled out James McDonnagh’s first half opener as the Reds became the first team to win the trophy twice and consequently the first team to retain it in the competition’s twenty year history.

An assured performance by AFC Liverpool saw them defeat Vodkat First Division leaders Barnoldswick Town 2-0. Goals from Andy McCoy and Dean Thurston inflicted on the visitors a first defeat league defeat in seventeen matches.

A week after beating them 3-1 in the Vodkat First Division Trophy semi final, the Reds recorded the same scoreline against AFC Blackpool to secure a league win.
Oldham Boro 0-0 AFC Liverpool
Maybe it was a case of after the lord mayor’s show as AFC Liverpool played out a 0-0 draw against Oldham Boro. In a game of limited chances, neither keeper was really tested, and it was Karl Gornell who had the best chances for AFC Liverpool.
